Worlds best bowler at the minute

Dale steyn for me, just edges Anderson as he gets more out of a dead pitch IMO.
 

Saying as South Africa haven't played a test in months and months you can't really say Steyn is the best at the moment. Has to be Anderson

There were loads of world class bowlers before them though, i fear this T20 bollox and millions of ODIs is finally starting to have a detremental effect on the game in terms of skill & technique.
 
Mohammed Amir would have been pushing Dale Steyn very hard for number 1 spot
 
The best fast bowler is Dale Steyn his record backs it up and even if you discounted Jimmy's fragmented first half of his career Steyn still has a better record. Jimmy is one of the most skilful fast bowlers I have ever seen though but some of the greats could be just as skilful but a yard quicker.

Steyn only has pace over Anderson these days and isn't as skilful.

Sadly I think you're right, the bowlers job in rounders is to serve up scoring opportunities for the batsmen.

And Anderson is best for me.

These days Steyn get his wickets against all opposition on all surfaces at 22 a piece and has done right through his career. Even if you discount the entire first half of Jimmy's career when he was still learning the games suffering from injuries he gets his wickets against all opposition on all surfaces at 26.

Its not about who is the quickest or most skilful its abut getting players out and there isn't really a comparison. Being accurate and just moving the ball a touch at 90+ can be a more difficult proposition then getting it to do party tricks at 83 mph.

And I love Jimmy me.
