World Cup......who's the biggest North-East team now then?

chatnoir

Midfield
Based on this season's head-to-head results (SAFC won 2), League position (SAFC 5 places higher), Points difference (SAFC 5 points ahead) and now the below information.....only the most deluded of observers could conclude anything other than Sunderland are now the biggest team in the area - FACT!

8 players:
(Brazil), (DR Congo), , , (all England), , (both Germany), (Sweden).

11 players:
, (both DR Congo), (Ecuador), (Haiti), (Ivory Coast), (Morocco), , (both Netherlands), (Paraguay), (Senegal) (Switzerland).

Does Anthony Gordon still play for Newcastle?
Also I can't believe Woltemade is good enough to make the German squad.

Actually I think he (AG) probably does until June 30th.

This is the sort of thread we bemoan them coming out with.
TBF they have more players in teams that will likely get to QF than ours will, apart from maybe Brobbey

For balance, not all international call ups are equal though. Le Fée would walk into most international teams, but he doesn’t get a look in for France. The calibre of team their international players play for is much better than ours.

That being said though 6 easy points, and we’re in Europe 🤩 FTM!

Edit: you do know that Anthony Gordon doesn’t play for them any more don’t you?

Absolutely no way threads like this make us look like whoppers who are obsessed with Newcastle and will bite us on the arse at some point in the future, none at all.

Regardless of international callups, which is obviously a light hearted comparison, I keep hearing their team is better than ours...

I think I'd take Bruno and probably Lewis Hall and that's it.

Maybe Harvey Barnes to play somewhere.
