Got the chimney, there is a gas fire in at the moment. Would need the existing hearth removing and making good.It will depend on what work is involved including whether you have an existing chimney opened up ready and hearth. Looking around £2k if need it all doing - spending on stove can be from £500 to £5,000 too
I’d say around £1500 , we’ve paid nearer the £2k in both our houses when we got them installed but that included knocking out bricks and plastering , hearth , liner , burner and installation including chimney workGot the chimney, there is a gas fire in at the moment. Gas prices are going to rise but they will never exceed purchased wood, unless you can get free wood don't do it. Fuel fashion is expensive.Got the chimney, there is a gas fire in at the moment. Would need the existing hearth removing and making good.

I think it might depend if you live in a clean air zone or something?I was told they already are, a bit of a pain If you pay out 2k, and they start clamping down on them.
This - they will target the selling of it apparently. It’s wet wood that they’re going to ban.
