Today was perfect example of why it was correct decision to sell him. Clarke destroyed him all game and Gooch will have been over the moon to see he’s number held up to be substituted.

To be fair, Clarke destroys most full bacos in this division. It’s not the whole story though. I thought Gooch played some very good stuff in parts, got a couple of lethal balls into the box and linked well with his winger. Certainly didn’t have a mare.

The Kevin Ball being deeply unpopular joke is certainly an older one on here that many have forgoten.

For context, there was a thread years ago asking why Ball was so deeply unpopular back in the day and no fucker had a clue what they were on about and it was taken the piss out of for months and any time Ball was mentioned you'd like loads of comments mentioning how deeply unpopular he was.

It's a tough one because he's not going to come up against m(any) better wingers than Clarke in this league.

We could absolutely use him this season given the injuries we have, but as Clarke showed today he probably isn't cut out to play in the Prem.
