"Class". No he wasn't mate. He was always committed but he was far from class. Personally I was glad to see the back of him and I'm surprised he's still operating in the Premiership.

Cracking fella though.

Alright, he wasn't class but he was a good, committed defender who was far from shite.

Agree with this but I remember that he seemed to have at least one absolute howler every match leading to a gift goal or at least a good chance of one

I promise I'm going to fuck-off and leave your message board after this, but with the sheer size of the SoL I feel the need to defend ourselves.

Once the second goal went in we hardly shut up and once the 3rd went in we must have been doing the 'just can't get enough' chant for about 10 minutes solid.

You've been one of the few places I've ever been to where as an away fan I've felt completely dominated by a wall of sound from the home fans (and I'd say you're louder than Old Trafford was even if there's more 'fans' there). But after we scored the third we never heard the Sunderland fans again.

I moved up to the upper part of the stand (where it wasn't raining  ) in the second half and I suppose having the roof on us at that point made it louder where we were stood, but honestly couldn't hear a word from you lot after the 3rd goal if you did sing, because we were making that much noise.

Moving up to the top of the stand probably didn't help it spread around the ground mind.

There was a lull after your equaliser because at that point, if it wasn't for your lack of strikers, you'd have been 3 goals up. Was glad to get to half time at 1-1.

Nowt against Wolves , genuinley want yous to stay up , just thought yous would prob have filled the South Stand all things considered but best of luck for next week + hope to see yous at the SOL again next season.

Wolves were jublilant because of the way the game went for them.

Fair play. Took their chances.

I'm a Wolves fan but now live in the north-east and was there today. All of us are scratching our heads to try and figure out why we didn't sell out for today. When the club first announced they were going for the lower allocation of 2,200 they received a lot of criticism for not going for the higher one as we nearly always sell out away (we sold out at Newcastle just a few weeks ago). I can only imagine that a combination of early start, long distance and the FA Cup final put people off. Personally, I find it a bit embarrassing that we didn't sell out our last away game of the season when we're in a relegation battle and just won a local derby. I can't figure it out! I was amazed that you lot took 4,500 to Bolton last week given the form you've been in - puts us to shame.

It's hard to work out how loud you sound when you're part of the away support but I thought we were pretty loud in the second half today. Granted we were pretty quiet in the first half but I think most of us were shocked by how bad we were playing given it was such an important game. As for the game itself, we could have been 2 or 3 behind before we took the lead, I thought that Sessegnon looked a great player in the first half and Colback looks like a good prospect. Thought you an out of steam in the second half and, as you would expect, we wanted it more - thought we deserved our win. Guess it didn't help that after you went behind Bruce decided to try out a few of your youngsters. Thought the ref missed 2 stone wall pens - one for us (hand ball first half) and one for you in the second half. We all had a good laugh at your player who skillfully gave away a corner in the second half (Riveros maybe?)!

Always enjoy my trips to Sunderland, good banter and me and my son always feel safe - as usual my 9 year old was treated fantastically well by all the Sunderland fans we met - he loves coming to the SOL (even in the past when we get our usual annual drubbing) because everyone is so friendly and the atmosphere was great. Wish more clubs were like that away from home - I know Wolverhampton isn't the friendliest of places for away fans.

The joy of today's win has already faded for most of us - we're now shitting ourselves about next weekend. Hopefully we'll stay up and see you at the SOL next season. Thanks for a great day out!

Top post, top man, and glad your kid enjoyed the day.
Hope you stay up.

Couldn't agree more. Was really odd. Imagine if we had an away game as big as that, we'd have as many in the home end as well.

By the way that just can't get enough song is shocking. I can't believe we're now singing it about Bardo. It's just another boring, generic football chant that's doing the rounds at the moment. Hopefully it dies a quick death. Much like the cringeworthy "<insert City/Town> is a shithole...I wanna go home".

This.

I think part of it's the distance, bearing in mind we only played the Mags last month as well. When you're living up in the North East you get used to long trips for away games, but if you're local to Wolves, you've got all the midlands clubs within an hour, london clubs within 2 hours, all the north west within 2 hours. Without wanting to cause an argument, you and the mags are the only two Premier League clubs for 150 miles til you hit Blackburn, you've got a larger fan base to choose from.

Not much of an excuse like but that added to the early kick off was the main deterrent from what was posted on our site. We've a decent level of home STHs in comparison to the likes of Fulham/Albion/Brum/Wigan/Blackpool etc. Add in that it's our second season so the novelty of visiting new grounds has kind of worn off too, so away tickets have been a bit more readily available this year in comparison to last.

Anyways over and out, hope you smash west ham next week, enjoyed being on here.

All the best to Wolves, hope they stay up. They are a famous old club with a grand tradition.

I have a lot of Wolves/Sunderland supporting family down in Rugeley, Staffordshire, and i'm sure they will be over the moon tonight!

I'm a wolves fan and i come on this site even when we are not playing sunderland. I post infrequently. The main smb forum is a great read. I've been to sunderland in the past and was taken aback by the friendliness of the fans. One fan gave me a love supreme fanzine. Top guy, top fans.
For some reason Wolves fans are disliked by a lot of away teams. I don't know any team that likes us apart from sunderland. I pray that we stay up and hope we play you next season.
As for the game like some of you say we don't keep the ball well and need to get more players ,if we stay up, to keep possession better. Sunderland had the better of the first half and should have been 2-0 up before we scored but didn't have that cutting edge. We came back in the second half and showed the desire that you need in these situations. Fortunately fletcher came in to the team through an injury to doyle and he has scored about five goals in 8 games and now we have won two on the trot.Hopefully we will be back next season. Obviously our weak link is elokobi at left back and we have to look at that again. Sunderland have a good team and had a lot of injuries . You will be back next season and hopefully you can get the two strikers in to replace jones and bent.

Be a pity if you fucked off and never came back. Im no Wolves lover but anyone that comes on here and speaks sense is welcome:-D

Thought they were very good today and was nice to see them applauding our under 9's at half time, also special mention to Marcus Hahnemann i think who gave them all high fives was nice to see

I thought the under 9's were that good, we could of done a straight swap the 1st team at half time;)

I love the wolves and I love MicMac, so hope you manage to stay up, and I hope we see you at the SOL next season.

Watched the game live in Oz last neet and was amazed how few Wolves turned out. Really shite effort and to be honest, a bit embarrassing for them

for such a massive match, thought their turnout was terrible. They didn't make a noise until they scored. really bizarre support
Then went quiet again when we scored. Might have just been nervous mind:cool:
