They looked nervous until 3-1. Then they were doing a conga and shit. Looked like they were having a great time.

poor turnout for such a big and winnable game for them I thought - but at least they won I suppose

This.

Even watching them when they scored, they didn't even seem that bothered to me, of course they celebrated but not as wildly as you would expect.

It all seemed very low key to me which was very odd. It was like they had nothing to play for.

Agree + not very loud even after number 3

I promise I'm going to fuck-off and leave your message board after this, but with the sheer size of the SoL I feel the need to defend ourselves.

Once the second goal went in we hardly shut up and once the 3rd went in we must have been doing the 'just can't get enough' chant for about 10 minutes solid.

You've been one of the few places I've ever been to where as an away fan I've felt completely dominated by a wall of sound from the home fans (and I'd say you're louder than Old Trafford was even if there's more 'fans' there). But after we scored the third we never heard the Sunderland fans again.

I moved up to the upper part of the stand (where it wasn't raining  ) in the second half and I suppose having the roof on us at that point made it louder where we were stood, but honestly couldn't hear a word from you lot after the 3rd goal if you did sing, because we were making that much noise.

Moving up to the top of the stand probably didn't help it spread around the ground mind.

There was a lull after your equaliser because at that point, if it wasn't for your lack of strikers, you'd have been 3 goals up. Was glad to get to half time at 1-1.

 What do you expect? I'm sure you'd be quiet if you'd gone 3-1 behind against a side who's been in the relegation zone for the majority of the season.

By the way that just can't get enough song is shocking. I can't believe we're now singing it about Bardo. It's just another boring, generic football chant that's doing the rounds at the moment. Hopefully it dies a quick death. Much like the cringeworthy "<insert City/Town> is a shithole...I wanna go home".

Great.

Can't believe I once made a thread saying I liked that f***ing chant.

To be fair mate as you say most chants end up doing the rounds of all the clubs, we do the 'ebanks blake is a wanderers no 9' which they used to have from Torres but to say Fletcher's probably our most potent attacking threat, he's not had a song/chant up til now (other than "there's only one <insert name>")

Not saying yous were silent like, just that I thought we were f***ing loud but where we were stood probably played a big part in it.

Great.

 as the lad above says it'll probably die off soon enough

I'm a Wolves fan but now live in the north-east and was there today. All of us are scratching our heads to try and figure out why we didn't sell out for today. When the club first announced they were going for the lower allocation of 2,200 they received a lot of criticism for not going for the higher one as we nearly always sell out away (we sold out at Newcastle just a few weeks ago). I can only imagine that a combination of early start, long distance and the FA Cup final put people off. Personally, I find it a bit embarrassing that we didn't sell out our last away game of the season when we're in a relegation battle and just won a local derby. I can't figure it out! I was amazed that you lot took 4,500 to Bolton last week given the form you've been in - puts us to shame.

It's hard to work out how loud you sound when you're part of the away support but I thought we were pretty loud in the second half today. Granted we were pretty quiet in the first half but I think most of us were shocked by how bad we were playing given it was such an important game. As for the game itself, we could have been 2 or 3 behind before we took the lead, I thought that Sessegnon looked a great player in the first half and Colback looks like a good prospect. Thought you an out of steam in the second half and, as you would expect, we wanted it more - thought we deserved our win. Guess it didn't help that after you went behind Bruce decided to try out a few of your youngsters. Thought the ref missed 2 stone wall pens - one for us (hand ball first half) and one for you in the second half. We all had a good laugh at your player who skillfully gave away a corner in the second half (Riveros maybe?)!

Always enjoy my trips to Sunderland, good banter and me and my son always feel safe - as usual my 9 year old was treated fantastically well by all the Sunderland fans we met - he loves coming to the SOL (even in the past when we get our usual annual drubbing) because everyone is so friendly and the atmosphere was great. Wish more clubs were like that away from home - I know Wolverhampton isn't the friendliest of places for away fans.

The joy of today's win has already faded for most of us - we're now shitting ourselves about next weekend. Hopefully we'll stay up and see you at the SOL next season. Thanks for a great day out!

Not used to this like. Do you have a few dickheads to send over to goad us just for a sense of normality?

Nice post. You definitely deserved the win today, your second half performance saw to that. Your players battled for everything and showed our players up for the gutless, spinless twats they've become under the numpty that is...Bruce.

If we do, can you keep them on here and off ours?

Like I said, I'll get off this board soon but it's nice to see some humour on a football message board (in amongst the <insert manager here> out threads) and you lot have been decent enough both on here and at the match. Was just impressed my previous quick thread asking about an away pub turned into a 15 page monster

Love stuff like this. Glad you and your kid enjoyed your day

What was the crack with the Jody Craddock song lads? Used to be shite, he used to be class man, deserved his place in our best team of the decade.

A while back he put in a number of awful performances (mistakes that lost of games, own goals etc.) so he was dropped and sent out on loan. Then we had a defensive injury crisis and recalled him from being on loan at Stoke a few years ago and he's been amazing since, solid at the back and scores the odd important goal. Lots of Wolves fans don't like that song though, me included, but it seems to have stuck.

It's more tongue in cheek than malicious, he's been on camera before while it's been sung behind him and been laughing.

Looked like he was on his way out of Wolves a few years back, got loaned out to your retirement home (Stoke). But came back and was in the team most of last year and has just come back in at the right time this season. Probably the best CB we've got at the minute

"Class". No he wasn't mate. He was always committed but he was far from class. Personally I was glad to see the back of him and I'm surprised he's still operating in the Premiership.

Cracking fella though.
