Wolves, Brentford and Burnley

It’s impossible to say right now really, I mean, there’s not a chance we will finish above Brentford but that’s not me being negative. I think if we buy wisely and the players adapt and fit in with the squad there’s certainly a chance we can compete and stay up but the odds are clearly stacked against us and all we can do is turn up and cheer the lads on.

No reason we cannot end up above those three?
Or Leeds , they dont have the style to prosper in the higher quality Prem ( too open ) nor the players to adapt to a tighter set up . They will need to spend big and probably reolace Farke who is a woeful PL tactician .

Brentford who finished 10th?😂

Burnley & Leeds were miles ahead of us this season. It’ll be a hell of a job just to overhaul them two.
Brentford will lose their manger, their goalkeeper has left and Mbuemo, I think they’re good but it’ll be hard to replace all 3

These are certainly three of the 6 or 7 clubs who we will be competing against to avoid relegation basically any one in who finished in the bottom half except Man U and Spurs.
So Palace and Everton too ? Total nonsense both will be comfortable midtable again

I certainly haven't.

We were better than Burnley in both matches last season. They had a very good defence and not much else. I don't see them spending a fortune and I think they will finish bottom.

Leeds bullied teams by simply having a very good Championship squad loaded with goals. They wouldn't be bullying anyone in this league. They have an outside chance of stopping up same as us.

We need half a dozen good signings ready for the Premier League to stand a chance. Big ask.

Last season Palace and Wolves flirted with relegation for half the season. They changed managers and pulled away. If they had got the managerial appointment wrong they could have struggled. They'll be other teams on the same boat next season.
Glasner was there all season mate

Probably the first Palace gaffer to do so for a good while

Not over the course of the season we didn’t, they both finished 24 points ahead of us.

People reckon Burnley’s amazing defensive record got them up, but they also outscored us by 11 goals.

Just to catch them up will be a massive task.

They were 24 points better than us. Thats more or less the same as the difference between us and Stoke or Oxford.
I meant we matched them when we played them, prefer to judge on that basis

If we invest well in the squad we will do well. I think several clubs will really struggle next season after losing their best players and signing a load of crap.

Keep an eye on Bournemouth. Losing Zabanyi, Huijsen, kerkez and now Kepa. Lot of money to spend but they are good players.

The 6 promoted sides over the past 2 seasons have totalled 125 points - an average of just under 21 points each!

We need to spend very wisely and bring in at least 6 players I think good enough to play in the PL. Even then it will be an extremely difficult ask to stay up. The chances are we will come bottom and struggle to come anywhere but bottom. But we are all realistic and know that. Recruitment team it’s over to you!
