I'll take your advice on board Janey but who exactly are you or any one for that matter to suggest life long fans irrespective of their views that supporting Sunderland isn't for them.
Everyone is quick to slag people off for having an opinion different to theirs, this board is exactly as it says a board for discussion once again irrespective of people's views.
Do better Janey as out of all the people on this board I wouldn't have expected that from you

Looking at Dan’s defenders on the way home I might be showing my age, but I don’t get this at all. It’s funny how attitude change with time.
I grew up watching football in the 1970s when:
a) most players had long hair;
b) we generally tolerated a lot more physicality. For example, a two foot out of control tackle through the man that got a touch on the ball wouldn’t get a red card, it would get a “great tackle” shout. And a full-blown right hand to the chin would probably not get a red card either, only a booking. Not even that if the ref thought the recipient deserved it.
But hair pulling, behave. It would’ve been beyond the pale. In a less enlightened age described as something that only a dirty Italian or a girl might do. Maybe, to try to be more 21st century, I’d call it something a six-year-old might do. Do people seriously want to make it acceptable?

The board is exactly for opinions, and everyone is absolutely entitled to them.

Frustrating! Quality in the final third / final ball was poor and Ballard's sending off was pivotal, shame as we started well. Disappointed but worse things happen, at least it’s a point and we are mathematically safe.
Wolves were very poor and we would have beaten them if not for a silly red card. We dug in so happy with a point at the end. 10 men for over an hour, suppose decent result in the end

Takes a big person to apologize o so fair enough apology accepted sunderlands been and me blood since we dad took us to wrote the park when I was four year old used to put me in the seat swings at the front of the clock stand I followed the e team up and down the country that being said that's just where my mind's at the moment with Sunderland once again totally my opinion some people agree with us a lot of people don't that's fair enough.

This stuff has happened for years...only players didn't roll about like fannies and cameras forensically examining where someone's hand is.
Years ago it would have just went down as a good old tussle for the ball and both players would get on with it.
I get the rule is there to punish deliberate tugs on player's hair. But both this one and Martinez's for man utd are stupid red cards.
