Wolverhampton Wanderers v Sunderland AFC 3pm Match Thread

He’s grabbing him by the scruff and pushing him forward he’s not meant to pull his hair at all it’s only violent conduct if it’s intentional it’s embarrassing from the refs yet again

Ya can’t have long hair and then dive about like a fanny if a strand gets caught he’s not even looking he’s juts grabbing his shirt ffs worst red card I’ve ever seen that
Spot on. He's grabbed the top of his shirt.

Why have we then?
Why have we what?

If the answer is "gone backwards" then I refer you to our position this time last season. And the season before that. And so on.

We have made massive steps forward since this time last year. I hopefully expect the club to repeat this progress next season. Until the club fails to progress I'm happy to watch this side play in the PL. You make a proper judgement after a season. You react accordingly.

I thought we played very well .
Yes tha bottom,I understand.
Ballard shouldn't have been sent off
And
That was a deliberate handball ,and was a penalty for us
But thought we were good today.
Tin hat on for pellters

Le Bris said: “We understand the rule and I think Paul Tierney is a great referee but the execution of the rule is very hard to digest because I don’t think it is intentional and violent conduct.

“We don’t want to be controversial, we are here to help the game, many people are watching the Premier League and we want to be clean in our behaviours, but football is football. It is a duel in the air and with a tall striker [who weighs] 100kg more or less, Ballard is massive as well, so the ball in the air 20 times in a game, many things can happen.

“If the rule is the rule, when you have a striker with long hair, you will have problems because you can’t defend. It was more or less the case. They executed the rule but it’s a bit hard to digest.”

“First of all, we’ll see who is the striker. If he has long hair, we have a problem. If they play long, be careful and we’ll see.

“Sometimes a handball is the same, it’s probably a grey area and with this rule, we are at that stage where you have to manage the rule to make it clean for different situations.”
Well said Reginald ... not one to criticise, but good to see him call out that bollocks.

Look at this  ^

One of our best players this season. Scores today. But because he went down the tunnel immediately after quickly clapping the fans he should be sold.

I've just burst out laughing
Nowt to do with today. Went on like a complete wanker v forest then didn’t go to away end today. Attitude is everything for me. Burst out laughing you need to get out more son.

If we had kept eleven men on the pitch for the duration of the game we’d have won comfortably.
When we went in front Wolves were shrinking in front of our eyes.
Awful decision from Tierney changed the game, surely we can appeal against it.

Nowt to do with today. Then use today as an example. Interesting.

He clapped the fans quickly then away. I couldn't give a shiny one about players going over to the fans. I'm not an 8 year old.

In the Forest game he was getting shit and gave a bit back. Again no issue. I'm not an 8 year old.

If you think one of our best players should be sold because of either of those things you need to give your head a wobble.

Edit. Plenty bursting out laughing at your comment. Perhaps you're pissed and should stay in more kidda :)

The context of 10 ten but still poor, woeful defending again.

Anybody care to explain Hume in mf yet again. He certainly doesn't help himself and people wonder why some are unhappy.
part of the journey, fine margins, lessons bullshit again in the press conference next week.

T total fella. If only today I’d have likely had very little issue. His attitude and reaction to a terrible performance towards fans who pay good money was more 8 year old like. Plenty laughing have you rang round everyone like ?

He needs to realise to play for safc is a privilege. I don’t want that type of player in our squad personally, he should have been told to apologise after forest.

I’m not a happy clapper I say it how I see it, if you want to put up with it then crack on.

On the subject of best players he’s been very good as has many others, could you imagine Xhaka doing that ?

I didn't need to ring round. Just read the comments and note the reactions.

Get a drink in you marra. Just a couple. Might relax you a bit and when more relaxed you'd make sounder comments.

As someone else said, his attitude was described as passionate and a winners mentality when it was all going well. Lose and suddenly it's a different slant.

I honestly couldn't care less about players applauding fans. If they do, nice. If they don't, not arsed.

Its nothing to do with happy clapping. I judge a player on performances. He's been class. If he hadn't I'd have a different take on him. As a player. That's all I care about.

Players abilities and players temperaments are completely different things. Honking players can have lovely personalities and temperaments. It proves nothing just because Xhaka is different to him.

If a supporter throws abuse at a player he can't complain of he cops some back.

Always seen it that way. Always will.

Not wanting a player "like" Mukiele at our club is barmy IMO.

thought we did quite well. no doubt already mentioned but we'd have won with 11.
poor officiating again. anyone else see the linesman gesture towards us in the crowd when talbi was most likely asking why he didn't give a foul in the 2nd half?

Get a drink in me, nah I’m sound fella.

His attitude was disgraceful as was his and others performance. There’s a difference between passion and petulance.

Performance is of course important, I’d rather have the attitude of Xhaka than him.

If a lesser performer had behaved that way I reckon you’d have no issue with me saying get rid.

Anyway off for a drink. Of pop haha

But Xhaka very famously fell out with Arsenal supporters 🤷‍♂️

There wasn’t a single Sunderland players performance today that could be described as as “disgraceful” . Not one. 10 men battled hard for a well deserved point.
