Wolverhampton Wanderers v Sunderland AFC 3pm Match Thread

Absolutely this and it's better than we could have hoped for. We don't have real depth. It'll take another £100m of investment to start to get to that point. We've had a superb season and if some of our fans could take their heads out of their arses for a second, they could see that.
Its very easy to look at the next opportunity (europe) and im guilty of it aswell but we simply dont have enough in the locker for that. Truthfully we have over performed

Only occasionally will I criticise on the these pages, but one thing I will say is "I thought some of the passing today was absolutely atrocious"

Probably similar vintage. I was at Wembley when we last won the FA Cup. We missed going up as the lads had been on the puss after winning and we lost our last home game.

I have seen SKP and Quinn perform miracles and seen us stuffed at Highbury after they had applauded (politely) Quinny.

I have seen the lads play well and seen them play dross. Gates, Gabbiadini, Borini sometimes great sometimes not.

This moment in time is the coming of a golden age for SAFC.

I'm disappointed today because we should have won handsomely but you rarely see this squad duck a fight and they fought with 10 men.

Maybe some on here don't realise how lucky we are or they are t××÷×.
Yep … you have to have experienced extra time penalties at Wembley agains Charlton to know how bad life can be … funnily enough some youngster last week was bemoaning how bad it is today … not even close to the 1970s not even close

A foul for their goal ffs

Sadiki goes down soft as shit again. A very annoying pattern with this team. Love launching themselves into the ground failing to win free kicks because they're awful at trying to cheat.

You said we can’t score, we did and would have won with ease with 11 men. Oh, and we also recently scored 3 against a champions league team and 2 against the richest club in the world
Sure pull out older games, how many did we score last week?

Pleased we didn't get beat and a point away from home is always good to get.
However when we attack our approach play is quite poor and our final ball is crap and very few of our attacks actually end up with an effort at goal. Some won't like this but we need much more goal output from our number 9 being able to wrestle and hold at bay defenders is not enough
He needs to accurately release and lay the ball off far more times than he does and 6 goals a year isn't enough even though one was against the mags

I think we can be hopeful for it without berating the club for not achieving it.

But that's the way some people are. If we somehow finished 6th, there would be "fans" criticising the players who caused us to miss out on Champions League.
