Wolverhampton Wanderers v Sunderland AFC 3pm Match Thread

Hard shift for the lads. 2 points dropped due to a moment of stupidity but we move on.

People need to calm down with their criticism mind. We've got some young players clearly with glimpses of talent but fans calling them worse than shit because we're not winning every week in the Premier League.

Give the young lads a f***ing chance man, plenty of players take longer than 9 months to step up to an elite level.

I'm so confused. I've watched a game we played for 65 minutes with 10 men and outplayed them all game...
I watched the game, they were absolutely dogshit as well but they had a really dominant spell in the second half which they made count. So many off days again for us but no point in singling anyone out, bad result against a shite team

I’ve seen the Ballard incident (only a brief clip mind) and whilst I accept hair pulling can be deemed violent conduct, there’s levels to it. I think he was a tad unlucky and was just trying to grab the lad by the scruff of the collar.

It's a major issue with the way rules are being applied at the moment. It's pretty f***ing obvious to determine intent when you are stopping the game to watch endless replays from multiple angles.

Instead of using any common sense to determine whether incidents are accidental or intended, we ignore that and debate over "natural body positions" or just send people off for "violent conduct". Ruins the spectacle for the fans imo and is bad for the game.

Somehow with the introduction of technology officiating is getting more intrusive and worse, something the game needs to seriously look at.

Overall it’s been an excellent season and staying up has now been mathematically confirmed.

We’re going to have to have a bit of evolution in the summer if we want to keep on an upward trend though. We’ve been average at best since the turn of the year. 19 points from 17 games.

Europe was a dream, and never going to be either an aim or something to judge the season by, but it’s still a shame for the season to seemingly end with a whimper.
