Wolverhampton Wanderers v Sunderland AFC 3pm Match Thread

It is funny how that is a straight red and season over, but the ELF penalty incident at Bournemouth was “play on”.

The law makers have got themselves in such a pickle these days. They need to just wipe the slate clean and start again.

I'm mightily impressed you've managed to compare Ballard's incident to Le Fee's at Bournemouth.

No common sense by the refs, Ballard looking at the ball at all times, trying to wrestle with the player and doesn’t realise he even has his hair, you don’t fall forward from a decent hair pull either
it's Paul Tierney's second time with the hair pull sending off ... he was the referee when Martinez of Man Utd was sent off the other week ... looks like it's now his speciality .. as you say @SAFC7391 .. no common sense

Mags winning? Beheaddie giving his usual team talk hopefully ready for the second half collapse.

Isidor for Brobbey for me. Brobbey Will be even more isolated with us having 10 men. May as well play on the counter with the pace of Isidor

If we were using Brobbey properly, he should be very useful with 10 men, just play the ball into his feet and he can hold the ball up better than most.

Isidor for the channels but doesn't hold the ball up well really. Not his game.

Three game ban for hair pulling is a crazy punishment haha.
No context is ever added to these decisions. If he had hold of his hair and was spinning him around like a windmill then fair enough .Still you need to wise up to these ridiculous rules or suffer the consequences. Another game of footy spoiled by a one glove fits all rule.

Ha
Problem is the hair is halfway down his back. All defenders grab a handful of shirt . Which was Dan's intention . Got a small handful of hair as well .
Has happened lots of time but as someone else said there is now a precedent set.
Ref couldn't do anything else as he had sent another player off not long ago for same action.
Had to send him off. He definitely holds his hair. Soft, pathetic, woke but that's how it is.

He does seem to grab and hold on, yes most likely trying to grab the shirt (another thing that needs stopping). I think if he let's go immediately maybe its not given but the fact it seems a couple of seconds. Needs to be some sense applied to these rules though its not deliberate and he hasnt properly yanked it or anything. Players dont get sent off for most accidental elbows for example. Or how many times players basically but heads and not given a red. Once again rule makers not able to understand things at all
