Winter Jackets

What’s the best winter jacket you’ve owned?

I’m in the market for a new one, preferably around £200-300. Something waterproof and well insulated (down filled) but well made and will last a long time.

Going to Poland next month and expecting it to be freezing.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

I have one of these for the coldest weather. Brandit m65 military style winter coat.
Removable inner liner, a separate jacket in itself.

Sometimes I find the full thing too warm to wear.

Sure I seen a decent Ralph Lauren coat in an online sale for about the price. Possibly Woodhouse or Mainline or something. Seemed cheap for Ralph Lauren anyhow.

Bumped into a piled up stack of metal chairs last week, and this one chair had a sharp bit of metal sticking out. Ripped a hole in the sleeve of me nice Barbour quilted coat (not the diamond panelled type the charvas hijacked a few years ago). I'd just been singing it's praises about how nice and warm it is anarl.

Maybes the financial crisis is taking its toll.

Almost £600, I knew it wouldn’t take long.
Of course it’ll last for years, how many times will you wear it.
