Winning ugly

3 good goals but two were gifted to us. All over the place first 20 mins until we settled. Didn't really look like conceding bar when they hit the crossbar.

Came out second half with virtually no intention of having the ball/crossing the half way line except for Grigg missing a very good chance at the end.

Both sides were shite. Our quality was the difference in the end with the finishes.
Basically this. A 3-1 away win should really be uplifting, but... er... it wasn't really.
Still - 3 points, and we move on.
But there's really no point any more having Grigg even as a sub. Give Kimpioka a place.

All well and good winning ugly but I'd hoped this year we'd develop a positive style of play and take this league by the scuff of the neck.

Getting promoted playing this way isn't going to bode well for the Championship.

If this takeover is complete, only a handful of players will probably make the step to the Championship so not sure its relevant

It looked poor at times, though to be honest - more that they looked slick at passing and moving forward and we weren't able to stop them. Woodwork for both teams and Grigg passing back to their keeper near the end are the add-ons to a comfortable score. The reality is we won comfortably because we took our chances. We opted to shut shop at 3-1 which is disappointing as we could do with the GD, but it's three points that matter above all else so it's hard to criticise for that - Ross and the players delivered and have us 2 points off the lead with a game in hand. Maybe no call for fireworks, but anyone calling for Ross out on that evidence is either a Mag or Manic Depressive to my judgement.

Peterborough are playing above the standard at the minute. They're refusing to play shit, hard fought football and are taking the game to the opposition and scoring a shit load.

Still above them though. :cool::p

Have you been watching them like?

Win, lose or draw we are playing ugly.

Same as last year, Mcgeady bailing us out.

Real Madrid and Barca have relied on one player for about a decade, not sure you can argue that having the best player in the league giving you the edge in a game means that player is bailing you out....Today he scored but would still have won 2-1 and other than the goal he wasnt a massive influence on the game. On that basis if you are going to argue McGeady bailed us out today then so did Gooch and McNulty.

Absolute bollocks. They're head and shoulders above everyone else, but they're hardly relying on them.

Difference is mcgeady does it week in week out.

We shouldn’t be playing that shite football with the team we’ve got in this league.

Manager is shite and wants sacking and a win away to Accrington won’t change my mind.
