I get why someone might want a bit of profile by being linked with a takeover..but it only helps if they are even remotely credible and really they can only do it once or twice without consumating a transaction before it does them more harm than good.

Is his whole thing some sort of art statement on social media manipulation or similar? Is he playing a part like Partridge or Lemon? He can’t be real otherwise he’d have surely been locked up by now? Or is he genuinely deluded and thinks the bluff will work on a club and a few investors at the same time thus getting his foot through the door of the worlds greatest game?

At first I assumed it gave him some sort of credibility for other business deals but since he doesn't seem to have other business deals. He's just overindulging in his fantasies of fame and money, bet he's fallen for a few strippers in his time
