Will Sunderland ever sell a £100M player?

Reading the news about Anderson and potential transfer to City.
A very good player, only 23 years old - the owner is holding out for £105M.

My ponderous state had me pondering. Will Sunderland ever sell a £100+M player in the short to medium term... ?

Our recruitment has been excellent as of late, will that lead to a £100+ player?
(for the record, I wouldn't sell)

What is medium term?

In 2005, the average transfer fee paid by a Premier League club for a player was approximately £2.5 million to £3 million.

During the 2025/2026 season, the average transfer fee for players arriving in the Premier League was approximately £9.69 million (€9.69m), with average player market values sitting closer to £23.58 million (€23.58m) across all 20 squads.

We could easily hit 100m just by staying in the premier league for another 10-15 years and inflation doing its thing

Sadiki, Brobbey, Diarra are the only current ones we have who i think could get that in the future. They'd all need to have a couple of top class seasons
