But that wouldn't meet their valuation, some of those are add ons, not the fee, hence no valuation would have been met. Also if they say wanted a million and they wanted it all up front then it's Wigan being ridiculous as clubs simply don't work that way, especially at this level.

Problem is we have no idea what it is. It could just as easy be they're stalling as they first want a replacement. It also could be they've seen were desperate and think we have money so they're trying for a bit more.

You though are intent on criticising the club. You're willing to believe the four bids, but not willing to believe we've met the valuation twice despite that information all coming from the same person.

Perfectly willing to wait until the end of the window, however the club knowing what the Maja contract situation was and sending Sinclair back so early and still being scrabbling around with 48 hours to go is hard not to feel uncomfortable.

I agree with that, especially given we've been here before. Different people running the club of course but in doing it this way I do feel they've been slightly naive in sending Sinclair back before the Maja contract was done and dusted expecting him to sign it, then also letting Maja got before a replacement was in.

The club may have let Maja go knowing Grigg was a shoe in given they know he wants to come and that they will have had Wigans valuation and may have already met it or have been prepared to do it, but it's still leaving things to chance.

Sinclair offered us nothing while he was here to be fair. There was probably more to the Maja situation than was perceived by those outside of the club. The decision to let Maja go will be judged better as the season continues. Hopefully all will be well and we get promotion at the end of the season!

They had to send Sinclair back when they did other wise the date would pass tonsend him back by and we would be stuck with him iirc.

SUNDERLAND are hoping to sign Lewis Morgan and Will Grigg ahead of tomorrow night’s transfer deadline after a busy few days began with confirmation of Grant Leadbitter’s return to .

Grigg remains his preferred option, and despite having had four separate offers rejected, senior officials held another round of talks with their counterparts at Wigan Athletic’s DW Stadium yesterday.

The Latics continue to dig in their heels, but Sunderland’s recruitment team remain confident they can broker an agreement before the window closes.

it was probably only fair to Sinclair to send him back early as it gabe him and Watford a chance to find him another loan perhaps

We need more than just grigg. Grigg and wyke isn't enough and is less options than we had before the window opened...

Sinclair wasn’t much of an option.

May as well use Watmore, who we didn’t have earlier in the season. They’re both terrible finishers but Watmore is a bit quicker.
