Will Grigg's on fire, signed!

You’ve been all over the place since Donald came in tbh. Constantly moving the goalposts to have another moan and ignoring any logical arguments that are put to you in preference to repeating the same whinge. I particularly loved your massive thrombo over signing Chris Maguire only to brush it right under the carpet when you realised he was actually pretty decent:lol:
Absolutely nonsense

I like the owners

The way people are so defensive and acting like they are the new messiahs is fuckin embarsssing though

They won’t get everything right and there’s nothing wrong with questioning them

It’s partly how we ended up in the mess with short, people went through a phase of saying every single thing he was doing is right

The thing is, Johnson marra, I wish you nowt but good in 2019 but you’ve clearly lost all perspective when it comes to the team. You’re actively taking a negative stance on anything and everything - often inventing stuff to get frustrated about - and it isn’t healthy tbh.

Do the club get everything right? Of course not. However, everything is underpinned by the desire to make us financially stable. It isn’t sexy but it’s undoubtedly the right thing to do for the long term. Accept the peeves, discuss them by all means but don’t continue to harp on about stuff when it’s marginal at best and has been politely reasoned away by two thirds of the board. And if you really are as negative about the team as you come across on here - or you are stuck in a rut of picking daft arguments - I’d strongly advise you give it a break as it simply isn’t a positive use of time.

 Jesus wept man

Just a reminder I said I didn’t believe Nixon’s tweets. Try reading what people actually say. And A hint, if hongkongmoron agrees with you, you’re ususallly wrong, that man hates Sunderland

Then that's 2 different opinions which are to be encouraged rather than about 10 people discussing how wrong he is imo.

Exactly.

They are taking a messiah complex.

I’ve not said anything remotely controversial about the new owners at all, and I’ve not even criticized them much

No idea what @The Cabbage is on about, seems to be fishing for likes. I think the fact he did it on a will grigg thread is telling as I said he’d be a good signing and I don’t believe at all we bid 200k. Obviously he ignored that and just twisted it to suit his strange point. Just the usual suspects fishing for likes.

It’s not the fact that they’d argue that the world was flat, it’s the fact that they know the world isn’t flat but continue to argue the point and abuse anyone who dares to disagree with them.

You’ve genuinely just described yourself

How is the I hate honeyman thread going?

Grigg's an outstanding league one striker. If Eisa was worth a million, Will Grigg's definitely is. If you get him for 500k or less, that's a good price.
I agree. I think getting him for around 500k is realistic too, it’ll just take a bit longer.

As others have mentioned, if the first offer is immediately accepted then it was probably way too high. The panic buys of the previous regime shown this (Ndong for fees potentially of £13m anyone?...)

Would be really happy with Grigg, but hopefully is a replacement for Jerome Sinclair as opposed to Josh Maja.

You've went from being ultra defensive of all things Sunderland to massively over the top in whinging about things. It's been amusing to watch

I’ve really not. All I’ve said is we should have been more proactive with the contracts.

As I say we’ve got to situation where can’t say anything now or the usual suspects kick off. As I said it’s telling it’s happened on a thread where I said Nixon was talking shite

Ah well. Whatever turns you lot on

500k would be a great deal, got some doubts as they bought him for a mill and he’s scored a lot of goals since but no idea what these clubs value their players at. 500k to get us promoted you’d essentially think

Your lack of self awareness is staggering mate.

You have. It's worrying you can't see it. We'll not mention your bizarre questioning of people's support if they disagree with you. You're genuinely beyond reasoning with.

Your lack of self awareness is staggering mate.

Here we go, standard as per. So is yours. That how this works? Aye saying we should sign up Embleton, staggering lack of self awareness.

You actually got up on a Friday and thought you’d post that. Bet you feel mint now.

That’s how I view you though. You disagree with people for the sake of it. The way people go on is bizarre. I’ve not said anything remotely controversial.

I’ve agreed with 95% of what the owners have done

No I disagree with a lot of people but can accept their opinion and understand it. You genuinely cant do either. You then question their support

I'd love to have him but it's a risk signing him permanent. He'll surely want a 2 year contract minimum and he's never scored goals at championship level. Then we're lumbered with a player in the championship who we will want to offload half way through his contract. A loan would be more suitable but I doubt Wigan will play ball.

I do that because people question mine for dare questioning the owner. Can’t have it both ways.

Again I’ve not said anything controversial, I like the owners a lot.

It’s just the same responses from the ususal suspects so doesn’t really bother me. Comes with the territory on here.

You can’t accept anyone’s opinions either

Like the owners you slag them of at any opportunity

I can and do accept other peoples opinions. I just dont agree with them all the time and will argue my case. You flat refuse to accept a differing opinion.
Have you ever wondered why quite a few people keep telling you the same things over and over? I have nee doubts you're a smashing lad however at times on here you bring on the stick you get.

Thing is though, and I'm trying to be constructive here, not having a go.
A lot of your points don't come across as opinions, it's seen by you as FACT and everyone else is wrong no matter what.
If you disagree with someone's "opinion" you start to get yourself all heated up and get yourself in a state about it which leads to contradictory posts etc. Not all the time I might add.
I do it sometimes when I get in an argument with someone, not on a message board, I mean in everyday life. Sometimes you have to take a step back and take five. And realise not everyone is going to have the same view on things.

It’s just the usual suspects. As I said doesn’t bother me, I know the things I’ve questioned and I’m consistent on them as I think the young players are priority, I’ve agreed with almost everything else the owners have said. As I said I only act the dick when people do it to me, which seems to happen when I say something as simple as Embleton’s contract should have been sorted out. I’m always gonna fight my corner when people go over the top with me, way I am.

but his contract is sorted out? just like you say why arent the owners putting money in, when they are? thats why people get pissed off, you repeat stuff based on things that arent true or that you cant know are true, then never acknowledge it, like as people have repeatedly said, we gace maja what he wanted, which was your veiw of what should happen, and it hasnt worked..

Exactly. Let’s just say Wigan want £500k for him and we offered this £100k (even though it’s likely bullshit). If we ended up getting him for £300k in this example that’s still good business imo.

And let’s not forget Wigan have already dealt with the new owners when we signed Power so it’s not as if there isn’t already a working relationship in place.
this...

However, i do wonder if Grigg will drop down to lg1 again (albeit for possibly 5 months) ; i also wonder wether a higher placed / more affluent club will price us out
