TBH though when RR put out the 3m fee story about 19 hours ago, many on here were saying no chance, it's not April fools, our owners don't act like short etc. Now some of these people are asking people who complained to eat humble pie etc :confused:

We left it laid and have to pay more than needed due to this.

Sure it might be a lot of adds on like

If we have paid the amounts being bandied around, this is more to do with the way that Maja left than the owners in my opinion. Once Maja refused to play we were in a very poor negotiating position. Our hand was declared by Maja and his agent.

The owners declared that they wanted to back JR and they appear to have delivered on that promise (subject to Grigg’s signing being approved formally).

It's relative though. A local jouro who has no reason to inflate anything is the same as us wanting to believe Donald saying it won't be that much. Given that impartial journo on sky are saying minimum of 3 rising to 4, then it'll be about that figure

Pretty sure everyone said we paid around a million for Wyke, which was later confirmed at 600k almost half. No chance have we paid anywhere near £3m

There’s also:
1. What happened to biggest budget in the league? We need to get a proven striker in and pay whatever the selling club wants
2. What are we doing paying that much for Grigg? What a waste of money, why are we giving in to Wigan’s demands?
