Wijnaldum

No idea if he's any good but stats look good and he seems to be coveted by a load of top clubs and would fit the bill for the creative playmaker we need.

Would be a massive signing.

Can't see it, but I'd bloody love it to happen.

Let's get Clasie too!

Wijnaldum "Feeling decisive '

By Jeroen Kapteijns
Georginio Wijnaldum is coveted by several European (sub) top clubs. Among other Sunderland, Newcastle United, Zenit St Petersburg, AS Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Marseille angling for the services of playmaker PSV. "Ultimately, my feeling is decisive," said Wijnaldum.
Eventually Wijnaldum personal choice will prevail. The former Feyenoord is an emotional person and has previously indicated only make a step higher as the picture quite right for him.
"It may happen this summer. But nothing must for me. Of course I have ambitions, but eventually my sense is decisive," Wijnaldum said it earlier.
Pröpper replacement
Given the many interests that are already relatively early have arisen in the summer transfer, chances nonetheless looms large that the league is going to hit again lost a top player. PSV have already anticipated a departure from Wijnaldum and contacted Vitesse midfielder Davy Pröpper.

VYE NOL DUM btw
Think it would be him or Clasie, would love them both but can't see it.

Common pronunciation is WHY-NAL-DUM

Would easily be the best signing we have made for quite a number of years, sadly I just think he will have far too many other suitors that can offer Champions League football as well as afford his wages. If it is true and we are serious about making bids for players of this quality then as least it shows some ambition. Sadly it will probably be just another ex-manager link with fellow compatriot made up by a shitty rag.

Last season, as PSV stormed to the Eredivise title, Wijnaldum made 33 league appearances, netting 14 goals and registering three assists from his attacking midfield position.

He registered 2.5 shots per game, as well as 1.2 key passes and 1.9 completed dribbles, acting as the main playmaker in the PSV midfield. Sunderland need to improve their attacking efficiency ahead of next season, and signing a player of Wijnaldum's talents would be considered a real coup for the Wearside club.

Same article say's they've placed a £14.3million price tag on his head!

Na just a few on here said that was the crack, which to me made sense hence we spent that long in trying to do the deal and were left short cos we couldn't afford a replacement!

We spent 10m on Rodwell instead was my understanding and also mentioned on here. Not saying you're wrong like, just don't trust this place for inside transfer info!

Can't see this happening, would love to see it, but don't think there's a chance we'll sign this lad.
