Everyone's aware when Wijnaldum turned down PSG they weren't very good?

it was weird like, my cousin who I rarely see told me he worked with Jardine abd Jardine was asking about me.
 
Let's not kid ourselves, it's nice to be linked with these kinds of players, but they are never going to sign for us.

We're Sunderland, we sign second and third rate players.

All the club can do is try and make him an offer. At least they're trying to aim high first. People not allowed to be happy about that like?

If the club are pursuing it then it's encouraging but people really expecting him to come here when like of PSG sniffing about? Come on man.

Well if PSG are in hunt it's a fair bet there's a layer or two below them who'd quite fancy him if they decide against before it even gets to us.
It's a non starter.

Ah, so you will move the goal posts to still have a go. So people aren't saying we can compete with PSG, but you can twist it so it looks like they have, even when they haven't. What you get out of any of that stuff is beyond me, but if it makes you happy.

He may not but if you don't ask you don't get. Look at who Middlesbrough signed under Robson. Bolton have had some top players. Up to now he's asked to go to one of the best teams in Europe and they may have moved on. I'd love him here but he probably won't come but I'd rather they try to replace Bridcutt with people like him than some other substandard dullard.

When have I said people have said we can compete with PSG? All I've said is that he won't come here as he'll have better options and people need to realise that rather than kidding themselves.
