There is no way he wanted to stay if Short offered 20m to sign 6 or more players. We won't spend 50m, but I'm sure we'll spend at least 30m this summer. We'll see I guess.

A lot of the players Dick brings in must be quality so we have resell value to make up the big spending this summer worth while....

But what about the factor I already mentioned ... if he improves our midfield which would provide more ammo for our strikers, then we would finish higher up the division and therefore reap more money that way. Also it would help attract other higher caliber players. At the end of the day it's not only about the money - having said that you do have to speculate to accumulate.
