Good signing for them. Their defence is still absolutely appalling, they have nothing on the wings and a young kid upfront.

I think it's clear some contact was made, but the maths didn't add up and we didn't pursue. Chances are if we had then he still would have joined them but...we can at least hold our heads up high and say we didn't want him.

No it's not

There was no contact made by Sunderland ever, not one bit

That's why what makes this so funny

I once posted that Michael Turner would be leaving 6 months before he did and got dogs abuse on here. How the fuck would you know? Why would he tell a fan etc etc and all that shit.

Tried to explain that it's not uncommon and that a lot of it is to do with players needing to find homes and schools for their children etc but it nowt got through to the footy manager crowd.

Sure enough, off he went right on time. I've not bothered posting about anything I'd heard since then.

My scoop was my uncles mate had been building Gardner a mansion in the midland.

The only itk ive ever had! : (

MCCLAREN: WIJNALDUM READY FOR NEXT STEP

Newcastle boss Steve McClaren has had his say on new signingGeorginio Wijnaldum and he’s delighted the Dutch international has joined him at St James’ Park…

He told Sky Sports News HQ: “We’re absolutely delighted. He’s a player I know very well from my time in Holland. He played for Feyenoord and PSV and I never liked playing against him. He’s a good all-round midfield player. He started at number 10 but has moved back. He can play all the positions. He’s a Dutch international with World Cup experience and he’s ready for this next step.”

When did Steve play against him?
