Devils advocate really mate.
But I reckon it’s not formations or selections it’s application and commitment.
Today we seemed to be trying to play at half pace. Not sure if they are tired or have been told to slow it down and save energy but this division is full of limited but fit and organised teams - sustained tempo breaks them down but half paced never does.
Case in point, Wigan look ragged up to our goal, the we decided to take a breather rather than try to kill the game.
Rushed appointment. Just my view, time will tell.just people who’ve been waiting four months to push an agenda because they didn’t like Johnson. They will be over the moon.
Johnson was his appointment man.
Wasn’t his initial set up his usual with Geads in AOB role?Winning games masks a multitude of areas that needed improvement. Mistakes have cost us massively.
No issue with the 4 subs. I’d want him to try and effect the games. The issue is in his initial set up.
We've had a 13 game unbeaten run under Johnson, but why can't he see some players look tired, in fact look burned out.just people who’ve been waiting four months to push an agenda because they didn’t like Johnson. They will be over the moon.
Johnson was his appointment man.
Would rather not be in the playoffs tbh. This lot of bottling twats have absolutely no chance of winning them, so only drags this shit onAnd... playoffs are not yet guaranteed. We still need a few wins
Thought jones and Diamond started bright but faded badly and both give the ball away a lot.
I was glad to see McGeady moved as teams have stifled him on the wing recently. If we want to put him back out there we need someone in the middle who can offer a threat: Maguire?
Ha'way - how good would it be to beat Charlton at Wembley ?Would rather not be in the playoffs tbh. This lot of bottling twats have absolutely no chance of winning them, so only drags this shit on
good godWe look far more dangerous when AOB is playing.
100% will. This isn’t what Dreyfus signed up to put up with. He’ll want to make a proper appointment in the summer
Only chance of that happening is if you’re an Oxford or Blackpool fan. There’s more chance of us winning next years champions league than the playoffsHa'way - how good would it be to beat Charlton at Wembley ?![]()
Very disrespectful comment that shows your complete lack of knowledgepraying a teenager with a huge trust fund will save our great club.
desperate times

13th to 3rd
the very definition of a markedly improved position
stop being a contrarian
Maguire not on the bench is criminal, particularly when your attacking substitutes include Stewart, he can actually change a game when he comes onThe opening was promising, until Wigan realised there were plenty of space to play into and then we get disjointed and Diamond and Jones vanished.
I like Maguire’s set piece delivery. But he slows the game down more than Leadbitter does and gets pelters for. Both would be in my starting XI. Maguire by default cos he’s as close as a No10 that we’ve got. Especially when the game opens up.
