Those multi substitutions remind me of Barry Fry another footballing chancer
f***ing pathetic from Johnson
He'll never get us out of this league
It’s stupid. He’s obviously never fixed owt in his life. Changing multiple things at once to sort out what’s wrong ffs

We’ve been very poor since Portsmouth. Chod in the pizza cup and the fact is this has been coming. His 4 sub bingo is an absolute f***ing joke.

Winning games masks a multitude of areas that needed improvement. Mistakes have cost us massively.

No issue with the 4 subs. I’d want him to try and effect the games. The issue is in his initial set up.

What the past week has shown is that the club is 100% right to have not rushed in to contract offers when things were going well.

The sad reality is that the vast majority of this squad lack the quality we need. It’s a real positive that we are in a position to release about 15 of them in the summer, and start afresh.

While I can see the comparisons with a Parky type display it is funny to see the knackers using it to insist he’s not better than the dinosaur when we are in a much better position. Nee perspective at all.

That 2nd half was terrible and this 4 substitutions in one go only serves to unsettle and confuse...LJ must take his share of the blame for tonight.
But he’s done it in the past and won points. I’d argue the issue is more the personnel coming in and the fact we waited until we were behind when it just looks desperate.

Which is why he then needs 4 subs. His first 11 is baffling.

TBF that actually worked. McGeady had been a marked man on the wing and moving him inside meant he got a ball in for the goal.

to me the question marks are over why Jones and Diamond disappear when we are 1 up and in a position to control the game.

I take your point but I still believe we’d get more out of McGeady from the left. He’s got a football brain so will always effect the game even when he’s not playing well or playing elsewhere. That’s his quality.

Diamond and Jones offered little all through the game. Gooch, although lacking an end product, carried more of a threat.

I think so personally yeah. Played some really good stuff against a team who were in form at the time. Pompey was another good performance but against a side in turmoil and more of a battle than domination.
Devils advocate really mate.

But I reckon it’s not formations or selections it’s application and commitment.

Today we seemed to be trying to play at half pace. Not sure if they are tired or have been told to slow it down and save energy but this division is full of limited but fit and organised teams - sustained tempo breaks them down but half paced never does.

Case in point, Wigan look ragged up to our goal, the we decided to take a breather rather than try to kill the game.
