Always thought it was a dead ball but mate reckons a no-ball could be called.

No ball. Played in a game where a square leg umpire called three no balls in an over for a keeper doing it. Didn't go down well

Called it myself from square leg and the fielding skipper went off it saying there was only 2 fielders behind the wicket on the leg side.
If only people would learn the rules before they start mouthing off.
Didn't even appologise when I explained the rule to him.
Wicketkeeper didn't know the rule either.
