Mag players have been overrated on here for ages. The 0-3 has dampened it a bit but you still see it on occasion. I genuinely don't believe that the likes of Cisse, Sissoko and Debuchy are particularly good at all - if they played for us they'd be written off as shite on here. Ben Arfa is wildly inconsistent and not particularly effective either - again, this forum would be split (like it is with Sess) if he played for us. Yanga-Mbiwa, Gouffran, Marveaux, Tiote etc are just shit.
Why do people on here overrate these players? One reason is because there are without doubt a number of closeted "undercover" mags on here posing as SAFC fans. The main reason, IMO, is an inferiority complex amongst some of our support which will take a while to shake (a few more 0-3's will help) - these people also tend to buy into mag propaganda (Chronicle articles linking Cisse to Real Madrid, Tiote to Man Utd etc) as much as mags do.
