Because the mags finished on a better goal difference than us. I don't know about the corner or throw-in count but that would seriously hinder my enjoyment too if I bothered to do the research and found out we had lost that too.

Last match of the campaign and we still did not have Milan in the Mackems.
Apparently we haven't really earned this place in Europe because we only secured 7th place because other teams didn't manage to win or draw enough of their matches to finish higher than us.
