Who's still backing Moyes?

We haven't got humped every week and we could quite as easily lose as many games in the championship.

We get humped 8 times out of 10. Regarding your last point if Short remains owner then we probably will.

Me. Can't keep sacking managers.

Consider me a happy clapper, if you wish. (Although I wasn't down burnley the neet, and will respect the opinions of anyone that was)

We have to face facts. Moyes is on a long term contract and won't walk. The squad is extremely small relatively inexperienced (at Premier League level) and there are no saleable assets (yes we could sell Defoe but better to gamble on him keeping us up).

Changing the manager now will mean more money spent off the pitch and the uncertainty of a new man working would mean it is a huge gamble. We would need a clear out at the end of the season regardless of the division we find ourselves in as the new man would want his own squad.

I think we need to just accept the gamble with Moyes between now and the end of the season in the hope that it clicks between now and then. Afterwards regardless of the season let him and Bain burn the squad down and rebuild it from scratch the way he wants it

As tonight was a cup game I'm giving him until after the match on Saturday. If, as expected, we capitulate, I want him gone.

There are a fair few saleable assets (Pickford, Kone, PVA, Defoe at least) and we have loads of Premier league experience.

Did anyone look at our available playing staff and think we'd win this game? It could happen of course, football is a strange old game but come on, against a powerful, hard working, well organised side with a none too shabby home record? A side that's been several years in the making.

I'm afraid I have some bad news for you people. Very little will change until we get a few players back, and then nothing will change for a while after that because they'll be off the pace for weeks. Then not too much will change for a long while after that because the club is a basket case, we're suffering from an accretion of mistakes, years of them, like barnacles clinging to a hull they've finally made it almost impossible to rectify whilst maintaining our premier league status, the dry dock awaits us. Unfortunately circumstances dictate that whoever we place in what is an extremely hot seat the job to rebuild this club will require time, player churn to raise cash - reduce wages, plus a lot of hard work, and that's if we have the right man, there are no guarantees in professional sport. As I said months ago, it'll get worse before it gets better but take heart from the side that deservedly beat us this evening, they've shown the value of sticking with their man through the tough times.

That's worked for Burnley but it won't for us, Moyes and Short haven't a clue.
