Who's still backing Moyes?

I'm behind him. If worst happens and we get relegated? I would want us to stick with him too. Signings haven't been the best but you won't always get them right first time.

Money in the transfer market is abysmal now as stated £10m gets you nowt.

Injuries have been at an all time high and with ACON players missing:-

Pickford
Kone
Cattermole
Kirchhoff
N'Dong
Khazri
Anichebe
Watmore

We aren't out of it by a long way. It's all ifs and buts I know, but I think it's anyone from WBA down who could get sucked into it.

The old "6 pointer" for instance. Stoke have tore us a new one in both games yes, but turn them 2 games around into wins and we are on same points as them.

Losing points after 85 mins too, Man City, Southampton, Crystal Palace, West Ham,

However rolling over for Burnley and Swansea was piss poor!

I'm still in the camp we will survive again albeit it may be a good run by us or 3 teams play worse.

My 3 for the drop in no particular order are:-

Swansea
Hull
Watford

Roll on Tuesday and Saturday

First aways of the season for me

Well if I have taken is comments the wrong way so be it.

He may have said something else elsewhere but that's all I heard mate. Interviewer put it to him and he refused to dob the fans in.

The club is a mess from top to bottom.

I think the fans as always are one of the only positives.

It staggers me the list of managers that have been dealt a dud hand by the owner.

The reason the take the job boils down to money, end of.

Unless he sells this club will never move forward.

I absolutely appreciate that he has backed previous managers with millions and had his hands burnt. His passion for the club appears to have gone, when that happens it's time to move on.

It seems those supporting Moyes are basing it purely on his time years ago at Everton. I'm yet to see anyone point to anything positive he is doing here, all I hear are excuses. At first under BSA we were still losing games, but you could see the players were fighting more and were slowly getting organised.

If past achievements are the only reason for keeping, were we wrong to get rid of O'Neil? Should Larrson still be taking the free kicks, because he was good at them years ago?

All our roosters are coming home to roost.
Our biggest problem over the years has been hiring managers getting players in that they want and then sacking them. Same with the back room staff.
I think this is the beginning of an uncomfortable period that could last years.
Moyes won't go his contract would cost too much to pay up.For all those wanting Moyes to go who would you replace him with?
We are shit and have been for years, it's just that now it's all beginning to catch up with us.
I doubt any miricales in relation to surviving the drop are going to happen this time round , we have used up all our luck.
It's time to rebuild and get some hungry young footballers in.

I am. Quite simply because he's the best we could get at this point. If he went, who would replace him? Giggs? Pardew? Either of those would still take us down.
They'd be replaced after a bad start to the championship with someone like, oh I don't know....Dwight Yorke maybe? He'd then be gone by April as league 1 beckons, and Bracewell/Stockdale would be in charge. I imagine we'd end up with Ronnie Moore or Neil Warnock at some point too.
People need to be careful what they wish for. For all he's a small part of it....Moyes isn't the main problem here.
We must keep Moyes....he's our best hope.

What comments?

From what I heard he was questioned on people leaving and he said people do that when we're winning too, because "there's only one road out of here." He was defending the fans, not attacking them.

Yep, defended the fans. People just make shite up.

He may have said something else elsewhere but that's all I heard mate. Interviewer put it to him and he refused to dob the fans in.

That's exactly what he said. He was defending the fans.

He couldn't have picked a better side yesterday.

My only minor gripe with him is the way he's handled the Khazri situation. Granted I don't know what's been happening in the background.

We need new players, we could have Ferguson in charge and it would make little difference imo, although I'd love to see how he'd attempt to change things around.

he spunked 30m on shite. turns out a spineless team yesterday with no heart or motivation. plays larsson. doesnt give kids a chance. got hammered of stoke burnley and swansea. its a no from me.

He didn't spend thirty million.

He spent about twenty, and needed about ten players.

Peanuts basically.

The owner is a disgrace.

Did you see the bench yesterday?

He played the best team available.

What's this "has the worst squad" line? Has a goalkeeper rated at 20m, a CB worth 18m, one of the best strikers in the league and a LB wanted by better clubs in January. Doesn't sound like a worse squad than the one that had Collins, Leadbitter, Whitehead, Wallace and Murphy.

On top of that he was his job to improve the squad. He bought an 8m CB and two CM's worth 19m and all 3 aren't better than O'Shea or Larsson.
Khazri is a good player and would improve any of our relegation rivals, but he can't get a game at Sunderland.
He managed to create the worst atmosphere in ages, depressing to even see his face.

How many excuses does Moyes get? Can someone point out one single good thing he did or why he should stay long term except the "we can't keep changing managers" or "Short won't sack him because he has a good long contract"?

Kone not worth £18m based on performances this season, he wanted off in the summer and you can tell the way he's been playing.

Remember it was almost August when Moyes arrived so not only did have very little time for transfers he also had only £30m to spend on 10 players. Crystal Palace spent more on one player.

Plus his transfer dealings leaving a lot to be desired

McNair & love dear me

He rimnds me of McCarthy

Given a million quid & blowing on shite

Davies & Nosworthy

It was £5.5m for the pair. Love was £500k what were you expecting?

I appreciate our financial plight and injuries havent helped but i dont see what hes trying to do? Yesterday he gave up, that is unacceptable from a player never mind a Manager he should go.

How did he give up yesterday?

We had less than £30m to spend on 10 players. Palace spent more on 1 player.

For those wanting him out who replaces him

Exactly. He is the best we could have got. Christ knows who'd we'd have ended up with in the summer if Moyes rejected us.

A better one who could spot a 13.5m player!? Or an 8m CB? Or a better RB than Jones? Or have a clue about loaning a player? Or demanding to have MVila instead of McNair and Ndong?
Or a manager looking excited to manage us?
