Flintoff not fit to lace Kallis boots??????. Kallis didn't have the injuries what Flintoff had but at their peak as I said Kallis was the better batsman while Flintoff was the better bowler. When putting it all together at their respective peaks Id rather have Flintoff.(IMO)
Even at his peak, Flintoff wasn't on the same level as Kallis, his career started slowly, even before injuries hit, he had a great few years leading into the 2005 Ashes and was then generally poor with odd flashes of brilliance.

You are putting up a really good argument mate with some valid points, but I think at the back of your mind you know it is a argument you can't win.

It is clear you know a lot about cricket from your other posts but the professionalism of Kallis as well as his stats just blow Flintoff away

:lol::lol: Brilliant.

be fair, he is like the master of disguise, this time his username is lower case with spaces in between the words.

the only way you would realise they are infact the same person is they have equally ridiculous opinions that nobody else in the world would even entertain.

Two others voted for Flintoff tbf!

I have read some shite on the SMB in my 8 years
This may be the bests

aye it is class like. flintoff's bowling was better than kallis' batting. kallis has one of the highest averages with the bat in the world now, and as good as pretty much anyone never mind the fact he's scored more runs than all but a few ever.

flintoff's bowling was on its day brilliant, but over a career was nothing special compared to the best. the average over his career is run of the mill.

one great player, who will always be discussed in terms of the best ever - alongside tendulkar and ponting

one player who could have been so much more, who will always be discussed in terms of talent pissed away - alongside gazza and sean thornton.

Flintoff was in no way, shape or form good enough to tie kallis' boots

I'd pay to watch Botham, I'd even leave the bar.
I'd pay to watch Freddie.

I'd not pay to watch Kallis, though I appreciate he is the best of the three by a country mile. He was just not as entertaining\ flamboyant as Both or, to a lesser extent, Freddie.

First sensible post in favour of Fred!

i wonder if you would feel differently if you were south african and he was smashing his way to your country winning another test match?

i know what you mean about excitement, but getting out cheaply for a low score when your team needs runs may be more exciting to a neutral viewer but, as you apprecite, kallis is a much better player than either.

if he was english though, we would have seen and appreciated his undoubted talent alot more

Your right, I would appreciate Kallis more if I was a Saffer. He was bit mechanical, if you get my meaning. But a great of the modern game.

Still never took 5 wickets and scored 100 in an odi. The true definition of an all rounder.
