I read it was something to do with teams being based and training close to the venues they did use and that the facilities weren’t available at Florida.

It’s being used for the next T20 World Cup though.

Local football matches were taking place (doubles as a football stadium). Bet the outfield is in a poor state. The local mayor was threatening to pull it down a few years ago cos of It's lack of use when it was just a cricket ground, so it's used for pretty any sport nowadays rather than just cricket.
