Whisky

I loved those labels but the cloudy representation of the liquid in that bottle of Tobermory doesn't appeal.
Without derailing the thread, I played the Championship course Sunday and Tuesday, with a stroll around Struie on blustery Wednesday. Blowing a gail yesterday and today.

Sounds like a cracking trip. We got lucky with the wonderful weather during the first week of September for our trip to Kintyre playing Machrihanish, Mach Dunes, Carradale and Dunaverty. The No Laying Up YouTube channel has recently uploaded some great content from the area.

Just back from Pooley Bridge again…had the usual dodge into Chestnut House and chat with Darren.

Mentioned before but they do have some very hard to get hold of stuff, but even allowing they often buy from third parties their prices man
Springbank local barley anyone ? £340
Springbank 21 …£500
Tobermory 21…£255

Other bottles not much above RRP however. Fancied a bit peat so got the Machrie Moor CS for £54

Exact release date not yet confirmed, but due soon:

Springbank 10, 15, Palo Cortado
Campbeltown Loch
Hazelburn Sherry 15 CS
Longrow NAS, 21
Kilkerran HP #9
Guessing the Springer 10, KK HP and Campbeltown will be available whereas the others not a chance ?
Got a Campbeltown loch on the go( enjoying it) and KK HP Batch 7 on the go( again good) but I'd really like to nab the Hazelburn and the Paolo Cortado which I'm guessing very unlikely

The Palo Cortado will be nigh on impossible as it's part of the sherry series. The HB sometimes lingers a little but less so when it's sherried.

Better keep an eye out for all the lottery's then !!!

Given up on the ballots etc...sure I noticed if you were successful with the Whisky Shop the delivery added to order was their version of the "Prime".
Sure it didn't give you the chance for normal or even free delivery( value depending)

Not like those bandits to try it on mind

Any one trying those Master of Malt raffles? tried a couple no luck really hoped i would win that bottle of Michters 20 year old bourbon. Costs per entry price various on what's being raffled.

If you get a heads up when they're released I'd appreciate a shout if you don't mind mate. I've got the PX from last year, is the Palo another 10yo do you know?

Looks like it's likely to be mid November. The PC is an 11yo I think.
.
£120 for a sherried . I’ve not tried it, but Wine Society releases are typically very decent.

I've been after ancnoc 18 for a while. The Whisky Exchange have it for £75 so I went for that and a bottle of 12yo Caisteal Chamuis peated blend for £40 to avoid p&p.

I really like North Star, but I can never figure out if they actually want you to buy their whisky or not

I have 3 bottles on hold at whiskybroker, I hummed and hawed about their 8yo caol illa bourbon hogshead last night. Went to add one this morning but sold out. They'd been up there for months
