If Jack Ross has to explain why we couldn't beat Oxford in 2 weeks time then it's mid table oblivion. At this moment in time that's the likely outcome.

As others have said we will struggle with the set of players that we currently have. We need to hit the ground running after the disappointment of the last few games of last season
When we have missed out on promotion in the past we have been able to build upon the momentum of the previous season and we have seen a real determination not to miss out again and to win the league. We need to see that from the first kick of the ball of the new season. We can't afford to have a slow start or to be happy with draws.

First or second. The defence looks better and I think either Wyke or Grigg will come good next season. I also think midfield will chip in with more goals.
