Where did you go for your honeymoon?

Me and the lass getting married next year and looking at places to go.

Not sure I fancy doing somewhere it takes 20 odd hours to get to.

Been looking at Thailand and some places look and sound incredible.

Where did you go and what was your experience?

I went to Tenerife, but that was in 1993.

If your looking at Thailand, Koh Samui would be perfect, stay in Fishermans Village, perfect honeymoon destination IMO

George Foreman v Axel Schultz at the MGM Grand. Schultz was absolutely robbed that night. That's the main memory I took from that honeymoon. Though we did also see James Toney the following weekend ("Rumble at the Rio") and Padres v Giants the next week.

Her fault. She said she'd sort out the wedding if I did the honeymoon. The marriage lasted almost as long.

We booked a week away in Cyprus flying two days after the wedding as a quick break. Nice hotel in Ayia Napa.

Looked at Thailand for the main event - wound up going to San Francisco and Las Vegas.

Few days in San Francisco. Few days stopping in places along the PCH. Week just outside LA. Amazing trip.

Took the opportunity to take some unpaid leave as the missus was self employed. So went to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos travelling around. Sometimes staying budget and other times splashing out a little more. Then finished off with a few days relaxing and diving in Bohput (Fisherman's village) on Koh Samui.

Went to Amsterdam the day after the wedding for a week just to get away from it all.

Spent a few weeks backpacking round Poland as the main thing later that year. This was nearly 20 years ago mind, before they joined the EU. It was a bit more mysterious back then.

4 nights in Bangkok and 14 nights in Koh Samui. Loved it. Would definitely recommend.

Callander in Scotland (The Trossachs) belive it or not 46 years ago today. Not all bad though been divorced 25 yrs.
