Where did it all go wrong

Club sacked TM without doing due diligence on potential candidates first. They then found their number 1 target but realised they couldn’t get him until the summer so basically decided write off the season in December. They then wanted someone to take the heat off Dodds but he turned out to be not only bad at the coaching but also the communication side of things.

Dreadful transfer windows in particular not getting someone who can score or hold the ball up.
The dreadful appointment of Beale.
Young players need to believe in their manager. How could beale inspire them. I'm unsure someone like will still will also .

Looking at it from the clubs point of view I suppose they’d argue it hasn’t really gone wrong.

Last season was probably seen as an over achievement and as such a blip on the gradual progression expected in the 5 year plan.

This year a mid table finish puts the plan back on track.

Look at it however you want the recruitment over the last two windows doesn’t suggest a meaningful attempt at promotion which makes the mid season sacking of Mowbray an even stranger move.

For a club looking for consolidation in this league Mowbray represents an ideal candidate.

Should have:
1. Signed/replaced Amad.
2. Signed a striker ready to lead the line.
3. Added a couple of older heads, particularly a DCM.

We needed to pick up where we left off, and complimented what we had with a bit more quality. Instead we changed too much too quickly, including our style of play. In hindsight breaking quickly and doing our work “in transition” suits us better than having a lot of the ball and asking CBs to step out with it.
All the things Mogga & recent imcumbants have moaned about not having

Only mogga got the sack for saying it first

Beale got the sack cause he was 💩💩💩💩
