I went through the games before and had us getting another 18 points. 54 in total, probably have us 9th or 10th. Either one would be a hell of a return to the PL.
Can't see why not mate the likes of brobbey looks like he's getting better and more confident we have diarra back who feels like a new signing

Just done a table predictor. As I was doing it I thought I was giving the teams around just more points than us, but this is what I came out with. It's also 2 more points than I said earlier, clearly feeling a bit more confident this hour  What a season this would be!

Here's the link if anyone wants a go -

Europe: We couldn't... could we?
The results of the next games against the pool the arse and the manure will act as a guide towards our final position!Lose badly and we will finnish around tenth scrape three points and well finnish 7-9th but if we get between 4-6 points i think we will be knocking on the door of 5-6th place..whilst in truth i would prefer the latter but i will be very happy with three and a tad disappointed if we lose all of them ....That said we will still of had a great season however those games goes down and in truth I have never had so much pride and admiration for the club ive supported for over 50 years and long may it continue.

I think something has just clicked in Brobby "oh yeh that how you do it" (whether it was confidence or just time adapting i don't know).. i think the prem will be plain sailing for him from now on and he will only get (barring injury)better !

As well as those matches you mentioned, the matches against the teams we're directly competing with are just as important, if not more so.

We have Fulham, Brighton, Spurs at home. Bournemouth, Mags & Everton away. Some of those could turn into 6 pointers for 8th place.

Finish 11th and qualify for Conference League

Tottenham 8th (CL winner)
Palace 9th (Conference League Winner
Forest 10th (Europa Winner)

*Mags 12th

Becoming an established PL side. Do that and in 2 or 3 years maybe we can set the bar higher. Year 2 is always tough, holding onto your better players is difficult, and the league are familiar with your team, players and tactics. We hit the ground running this season in part because we were very much an unknown quantity.
Absolute bunkum.
Since the premier league began, only 11% of teams who survived the first year were relegated the second year.
We got the ground running because we have very good players who are more than capable of playing at this level.

Don't let facts get in the way of you constant digs, though.

Once Xhaka gets back and Traore and Angulo provide further options we’ll have a better idea of where we’ll finish.

I’d say 12th ish which represents a brilliant first season following promotion.

Since the move to a 20-team league in 1995, the average points tally for the 18th-placed team (the highest to go down) is 35.6 points.

We are currently on 36 points after 24 games... We have already reached the "average" safety mark with 14 games to spare. Historically, 36 points is enough to stay up in more than 50% of all Premier League seasons.

The "2-Sigma" Safety Net represents a threshold that covers 97.7% of all likely outcomes.

Based on 30 years of data, the standard deviation for the drop is ~3.4 points.
The "Ironclad" Safety Number: 43 points. At 43 points, you are safe. Only once in history has a team gone down with more than 40 (West Ham in 2003 with 42).

The Math for the Rest of 2026

Current Points:
36
Target for 99% Safety: 43
Required: 7 points from 14 matches.
Required Rate: 0.50 Points Per Game (PPG).
Our Current Rate: 1.50 PPG.
We could literally play at one-third of our current level and still hit the scientific safety mark.

The "Weak Floor" Factor
The current bottom three are historically poor. West Ham (18th) is on 20 points, Burnley (19th) on 15, and Wolves (20th) on just 8. For us to go down, West Ham would need to win almost half their remaining games while we lose every single one.

The risk of relegation is now statistically less than 0.01%.

No need ti worry about relegation, we should be trying to figure out if we can make it to Europe some way.
