There isn't any other player that has changed my opinion of them as much as Defoe has. Both as a player and a human being. I was completely wrong about him before he joined.

The Gordon stamp was very dirty and iirc he did it to another keeper later that season but without the same result. If someone like Diego Costa did that now people would be screaming for a lengthy suspension.
 
lol, it's much like any tackle really when Arca "ended Shearers career" early it was just a tackle, no animosity, these just happen. I am sure Defoe never meant it so there was/is no reason to hate him in the first place.

I used to hate Defoe even before the Gordon thing. Think he is class now though when he is doing it for our team and you get to see what he is all about week in week out. Used to think he was a bit of a dick off the field (only from seeing things in the media) but turns out he is a model professional and all the stuff with Bradley is class.

back then he was a drinker and serial shagger I recall (although the shagging part seems to be still present).

He has turned into a proper pro and being tee total his fitness isnt in question
 
Defoe is the second coming of Christ, he'd never do something as heinous as the OP claims. FAKE NEWS.
