When Johnson was appointed

Would you have took a play off place ?
Probably yes for me, obviously it’s very disappointing getting close to the top two then bottling it.
For me, success wasn't about an on-field turn around as such. It was about changing the club and the losing mentality and the defeatist attitude that has been hanging around the club. Stopping the bottle jobs, etc., from the players and beginning the process of professionalising the club. That's the worst bit about the last two games for me - feels like we are now back under Jack Ross or Parkinidiot. Dropping pathetic points, losing games in pathetic ways and not acting like a professional football club. I could get over not going up if we went about it the right way - I cannot stand this pile of shite we've been served since Oxford onward

I tend to avoid posting on here at 'knee jerk time' (i.e. after a match) but I've had a few so fuck it...

As it stands SAFC have a squad of reasonable third division players... so they ain't going to piss this league... how is that a surprise to anyone?

As a SAFC fan for 50+ years of course this is a f***ing embarrassment...

But the grim reality is that this is SAFC in 2021 - bumbling about in the third division for years...

Of course to any real SAFC fan anything less than pissing this league with 100 points for one season is an absolute f***ing embarrassment but this is where we are...

All we can do is hope that this lot can get promotion via the play offs. If not, we live through this embarrassment for another season next year...

It would have to be a complete disaster to drop out of the play offs.
Never say never.
I’m just starting to calm down after watching that tonight but genuinely a few more performances like that and we’ll drop like a stone.

This is exactly what went through my mind after seeing some of the bed wetters on here. I'd have snapped your hands of for a play off spot but like you said so disappointing after getting ourselves in an amazing position only to blow it.

when Johnson was appointed, we were 5 points off 2nd place. We are still 5 points off 2nd place now.

Parkinson PPG (without McGeady the saviour) - 1.77
Johnson PPG (with McGeady the saviour) - 1.77

Couple of important stats when you consider whether Johnson has performed miracles.

Thing is, many players are motivated by money and reward. I'd be tempted to offer them some kind of mega bonus for promotion, so at least if being a good professional isn't what they aspire to, then a wad of cash might. Then we can wave goodbye to plenty of them in the summer.

Blimey, what a fall we have had since dropping out if the PL.

Blimey. I'm genuinely shocked.

But to change the attitude we need quality u can only ask so much with players with limited ability and until we get the balance right of good players we will forever be in this position, change managers bring in shite after shite , we need better recruitment

He has surpassed my expectations by an absolute mile. Anything 6th and above is an achievement considering where we were and how poor we were playing. At the time it looked like we had no where near enough quality for top 6.
