When Fatty Benitez walks out on the scum

Maybe. Depends what he would cost to pay off. As for walking, I am still not sure he can.
More of a waddler, surely?

The price of failure is equal to the cost of success. nah, he glides effortlessly between the tables with bottles of expectation and delusion. or so I am told.

Not my words but wise words..

There is no way he'll stick around with this squad. Overrated fat fuck anyway. Ruined the best team in europe in inter, spent a fortune to win a coppa italia with napoli and they had the white hankies out at madrid after about 3 months of watching his dirge.

The man who tried to get rid of xabi alonso for gareth barry (admittedly a fine career but still) and then did for alberto aquilani.

Throw in the millions he blew at Liverpool and you don't have a lot, well a Champions League win, but even that was from the gods.
Did superbly at Valencia tbf to him

Unbelievable that FMA wasnt there last night like

If he does stay he will be in for a busy Summer as the current squad needs a major upgrade if they are not to be relegation fodder next season.
Were about to see how good a wheeler dealer he is getting shot of a lorra lorra championship plodders

:lol::lol:

He didnt really like, inherited a excellent Valencia side which had already done well.

Twice champion with Valencia is phenomenal, so it's winning the UCL with Liverpool.
I don't know what's with the constant attack to his career. He was a great manager, he isn't anymore, but still has more in him than our pathetic idiot in charge.

A 'dirge' is a funeral song.

How do you watch that Peppy lad?
Haway GP, the dirge of Benitez, not heard it?

Am well aware of what it is, but it represents him and his time, he served a dirge up.

Comparing him to Moyes is borderline idiotic.

Come off it man, he inherited a side that got to the Champions league final twice in a row, a side that lost on penalties as well. Deportivo had won the league, Barca and Real were exactly firing all cylinders.

Probably because he has the best CV of any manager to have came to North East football.
If benitez had been appointed Sunderland manager, its unlikely the people on this board would be pulling apart his time at Valencia, calling him a failure in other jobs etc.

I actually think they need a bit of work in the window to be comfortable next season.

Defence is weak in my opinion
Shelvy been the star this season in midfield but has not performed well in Premier League for last few seasons before relegation.
Up front they need a signing or two as well.

But I don't think he will leave, it's just a ploy to get more money and Mike will give him money if he trusts him - and he seems to.

Either way it was a shits trick by Benitez if you ask me. Could of at least waited a few weeks before making his point.

Mike won't be having that kind of challenge to him in public.

Cloughy had a better cv than him

Which north east clubs did Brian Clough come to manage with his outstanding CV?
At Hartlepools he didn't even have any previous experience.

I think January was where Ashley already showed his hand.

I think to do better than just be battling for survival, we'd require at least 6 and as many as 10 new players.

Lot of truth in this. Posters falling all over themselves bigging up Moyes record at Everton but happy to belittle Benitez far more superior record in the game. The main comparison though is that their fans believed in him after relegation and allowed him the benefit of two early defeats. Moyes simply doesnt have that luxury if the first two Championship games are lost.

Moyes has already lost a lot of your fans. Even if yous win the first half a dozen, you're probably only a bad run away from people losing their support for him again. Some probably won't forgive him for this season.
Given time he might rebuild well, but has to get off to a good start next year

In football fan goodwill can cover a lot of flaws. In 1985 McMenemy made a start Moyes could never expect to survive but faith held for a long time all things considered. He was even given the benefit of doubt for a second shot at promotion and it was only when that went just as disastrously wrong that his reputation collapsed.
