Got 3 for 8 of 4 overs against Durham uni all clean bowled. I much prefer to bowl someone to a catch or lbw, not that I like sharing wickets it's more the buzz from hitting the stumps.

personally i prefer a caught behind, dont know why just fopund this the most satisfying way to get someone out

best at U15 level was 5-4-1-6 against marsden.
at adult level as an 18 year old was 12-6-8-5 in 2nd team

Dinnar to be exact. Once took 4 wickets in an over, but didn't get an hat trick! W W . W W.

My dad took 8 for 11 once playing for Wearmouth's 2nd team. It was about 50 years ago like. He never stopped telling me about that when I was a young'un.

That and the fact that he had played in the same team as Len Shackleton.

Shack got paid more a week playing as pro for Wearmouth than he did playing for SAFC. Officially like, used to play snooker against one of the directors at SAFC for £5 a frame, Shack never lost a game.

who gives a shite, arnly bummers and disco dancers play cricket ;-)

I played my first club game (Shurdington CC Friendly XI) since school today and finally took my first wicket after being given the dubious honour of being the "death bowler". They needed 4 off the last over, after getting 2 of them I trapped their opening batsman for 60 odd. The visiting umpire then wided me after the ball went between the bat and the stumps leaving them needing 1 off 3, they had to wait until the final ball to get it. Pity that my first proper wicket had to be in a losing cause.

My final figures: 2-0-6-1

5 for 16 vs Tantobie, way back when, when my quick ones were quick. Now they'd be lucky to get on the speed gun :oops:
This is a bit random I know, but I always wanted to hoy something in front of a traffic camera fast enough to trigger it, then before the second flash turn and give the finger to the camera. Might even make Crimewatch :oops: Do you think it would work?

:lol::lol:

You'd have to be quick after you flung it like, even faster than Usain Bolt and than the object you were throwing. Better still, ride a bike and stick yer finger up. I'm sure you can reach the required speeds but I'm not sure whether you can be done for that, ticket wise.

Well you'd only need to turn round after you threw it. Actually, those cameras get triggered by cars approaching on the other side of the road too, so you could even throw something towards it, negating the requirement to even turn round.

Could just wait by one for a car to trigger it I suppose.

Took 9-38 odd against Mainsforth second XI on my 18th birthday. Took first eight and then keeper dived full length and caught one at other end. Was gutted.

Second best was 8-13 in a school game.
