Love the exclamation mark after every title. Definitely give me they feeling they are an exciting read. I might have read a whole book in the last 20 years if this was more common.

Fighting Fantasy. I had the whole set when I was a kid up to about number 17 before getting bored with them. Authors were Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone who I think went on to create The Games Workshop and make a fortune.
The Citadel of Chaos was my favourite. Balthus Dire was the baddie. Pretty mustard but didn’t like sunlight.
I’m not into that sort of stuff at all now, but I still read lots. So like Harry spotter books, which also encouraged a generation (and hopefully more) of children to read any books - they were a good thing.
