Another fine Bank holiday Monday for the mags on this forum :lol::lol::lol:

Good to see the one who rarely posts on here getting sand in his gaping fanny... again.

Steady on!
It only works one way. Any Sunderland fan from outside of the area are salt of the earth, for when the going gets tough, sticking with us. Any NUFC fans from outside of the area are bandwagon jumping, glory hunting, Keegan adoring f***ing wankers, ex SAFC fannies that when the going got tough, they got going. . That Wearside fella underwaterspunkbubble, being a prime example.

Steady on!

This made me laugh!

Mind if we are going down this route ..big shout for " tommy" statue from Seaham on the Safc one...it's very impressive

"Tommy" and many other North East and further afield cultural statues and monuments, lovingly and artistically fabricated in South Hetton, COUNTY DURHAM by Ray Lonsdale who I believe was a former Wearside ship yard craftsman. He even produced the Fisherman sculpture on North Shields Quayside.

So it's a " yes"? Would look fantastic that ..and with great meaning behind it.

Maybe so. It is be (side) the river. It certainly wouldn't offend me.
But I've never heard anyone in Durham call it WEARSIDE. My dad lived there all his life and he never did.

Of course it is. Just like Sunderland is on Wearside.

Hexham and Prudhoe aren't on Tyneside though.
Remind me whats the name of the river that runs through Durham..if you live in Durham you literaly live by the wearside...........Support what black and white shite you want but if you live by the tyne your a tynesider and if you live by the wear your a wearsider, you cannot change the facts!

A lot of Sunderland fans have NE postcodes so by your logic we should put some Newcastle landmarks on our flags to represent them? Bit of a stupid argument really.

Well the Newcastle Black Cats Supporters Branch does indeed have a flag with the Tyne Bridge on it and is knocking up badges with it on.

I don’t suppose we’d object to having a massive one in the Roker End. Not sure if any of us sit there mind.
