SAFC is Durham stronghold
Sunderland was in Co Durham for centuries ( still should be in most supporters opinion )
The filthy Durham mags can support the scum ower the water if they choose to but don’t try to rewrite history
Wankers
Aren’t mags in the majority in Durham city (as opposed to the surrounding villages)?

Ya just a small town in Durham, just a small town in Durham.

Again - why does it matter? Christ, we’ve just finished 5th in division 3 with 3 massive games coming up and we’re freaking out over a frigging banner. Don’t give them another stick to beat us with.
Stop freaking out about us pointing out how wrong they are, jeez, just calm the hell down man!

Anyway, what team would you go with for the 1st leg? (Also, you shouldn't assume that we have 3 games coming up, that's the kind of arrogance of a Mag..;))

Is anyone freaking out over it? It's just odd. They'd be hammering us if we put Tynemouth Priory on a flag just because some of our fans live close to it.

"Also....Durham to Newcastle is 13 mins on the train. Durham to Sunderland via bus takes about 70 mins. There seems to be this false assumption that Sunderland is closer to Durham than Newcastle"

The thick knackers are rewriting the geography books now are they?

York is 20 minutes by train from here, but it's f***ing miles away. It's not around the corner.

Geographically Sunderland is closer, the f***ing thick twats. You have to go past Sunderland on a map to get to Newcastle, from Durham. Fair enough it's closer on the East Coast mainline but that's it.

Am I the only one that thinks the whole 'Banners will enhance the atmopshere' ethos is a load of shite?

Make some noise and colour and some good chants etc. Not a big banner with a load of randomly positioned Northern landmarks on.

I think they can go hand in hand. A visual display can help add to the atmosphere.

I think our displays have looked class.
