What represents success next season?


Top half finish and decent Europa cup run.

This could be harder as other sides will know what we are like. We were an unknown quantity and a complete surprise this season. That has now gone.
 
Something similar to Palace would do me....never really in relegation trouble and end up with a bit of European silverware in late May!

There's this thing going 'round that we'll struggle due to the amount of matches. A few people say these things and then everyone else just goes along with it like a herd. It depends. It depends what happens in the summer. If we keep hold of our best players and add 2 quality first team players in the right positions then there's no reason why we'll struggle in the league. We've got the makings of a very good football team. Obviously the club will bring in a couple who are good quality back up players also.

Playing in Europe could go the other way for us: the right couple of signings in the summer, keep hold of our best players, win a few matches in the Europa League and we're full of confidence and going into league matches thinking we'll beat these.

We'll not go down next season, not a chance, unless there is a very surprising mass exodus of our best players and we replace them with players not good enough for the league and that's highly unlikely. On the other hand, we've got a bit lucky with 54 points being good enough for Europa League and more points will probably be needed next season.

I'd wait and see what happens in the summer. Keep hold of our best players, two quality first team in additions in the right places, then I'd say top 10 and win a few matches in the Europa League would be par performance. Success would be top 8 and at least a semi-final in a cup competition, I'd prefer it to be the League Cup than the Europa League.
 
I'd be very happy with something like 14th (i.e. lower mid-table with no relegation troubles) and Europa knockouts.

Even without Europe, the margins are so fine I think we have to think about areas of the table, rather than specific positions. As long as we're in the mid-table region pushing for top half, I'll be very satisfied.
 
We took points off every team bar Fulham this season .So for me if we keep our best players and added 3/4 quality players Amad standard we can finish top 4.Going to games now I feel we can beat anyone.
 
Im waiting for our Captain to give his thoughts …..might be more positive than mine ( would take staying up again without any stress but ……)
