I remember when we played India about 8 or 9 years ago. Me and a mate knew someone with an office in the Riverside so sent a crate in the day before to their office.

Bags checked at the gate then straight to the office to pipck up the rucksack full of cans.

All going smoothly in the first half until after about 7 or 8 cans we became more and more careless with our empties. Were in a pretty empty bit of stand but some steward came to see his bunch of 5 or 6 mates about 10 rows forward. They must have mentioned our cans and it was as if to look tough he had us hoyed out. They were asking us how we got it in and obviously werent going to grass our insider up so said we brought them in through his gate, which didnt help in hindsight.

Bastards tried to take our last 8 cans off us too, sharp got them back.

Turned out ok in the end. Saw Tendulkar make a hundred then the 2nd innings only got 2 or 3 overs in before it lashed down. Got picked up and watched from the local as it was gridlock on the roads outside the ground.
