Wetherspoons

I watched our play off match at Luton, in a pub called The Friendship Inn in Fallowfield, Manchester. There is a Weatherspoons right across the road from it.

When I was a student many years ago, I lived just around the corner from this pub, but I hadn't been in for a long time.

I was pleasantly surprised to see The Friendship absolutely packed, mostly with students.

One reason might be their drink promotions; monday to Friday all their cask beer was £2.30 a pint

Still £2.49 for a pint of Guinness in Jamesons yesterday - on point too.
Compared to £4.30 a pint in the Board Inn.

I’d rather pay the £4.30 mate.

No disrespect bud, but Jamesons attracts some right wronguns. Its the founding member of the tramps triangle (although with the Beehive and the Blandford, it could probably now be called the tramps sector)
