Ton for Williamson. Some loose bowling towards the end but the windows have kept it tight, without every really threatening. Enjoyed it.

Days like this will kill Test cricket.

What you wanting like, wickets tumbling? It was an interesting day where batsmen had to be patient for their runs at times.

I love Test cricket and enjoyed today from what I saw of it. I was making a more general comment that 2 wickets and a drab run rate will hit the popularity of Test cricket unfortunately, especially in places like the WI and NZ where it isn't (anymore) that big to begin with.

Maybe I'm just looking back with nostalgia but I remember Tests in the WIs in the 1990s where the grounds were packed and buzzing, Gravy was climbing about everywhere and it was a huge event. Now they invariably play Tests in the WI in half empty concrete bowls and having NZ 2 down with a run rate below 3 isn't going to get people flocking back.

The grounds are always going to be full and bouncing when the home team is winning, and in style. And a run rate below three isn't unusual for Test cricket.

I can see where you're coming from in fairness.

It is a bit of a slow burner but test cricket used to be like this. I couldn't get to see most of it but it was great to actually watch a test match instead of all this hit and giggle stuff.

This. I will be watching a good few hours later again.

Some cracking deliveries from Ben. WIndies have had a good session. 5 down for just under 300....

Good to see I am not the only one of this. Agree it isn't the most exciting match in front of a poor crowd, but just seeing the team in their whites makes me watch.

Anyone know what happened to Rutherford? Looked good last year against England in the tests in NZ. Surprised there is no Wagner either, he will run in all day for you, which maybe needed on this pitch, especially with NZ having no spinner

NZ spinners average 40 & 50 in FC cricket...

Nowt to shout about that

Only me sad enough to be watching this??

460/5 about 15 overs left tonight...

looks a decent player not a bad line up they have

Batted really well, as did that Watling fella. Spoiled it a bit by not walking when he 1/4 balled it to the keeper like. :D

How many times do you see this? After 2 days in the field I'd expect a couple to fall before close.
