West Indies v England: ODI Series

9 bowlers used in a 50 over game  They have no gameplan at all, what's the point in playing Curran if he's going to be 6th change and bowling just 3 overs
I've not watched a second of the two games as it's a joke series from our perspective.

So hard to know how it played without watching I guess, but to not bowlout Archer going at 4 an over and not use Curran more the second most economical is ludicrous on the face of it.

Picking a guy as captain that was a shit replacement captain for Lancs, when he wasn't even in the squad in the summer originally. Just further makes a mockery of how little they have given a fuck about ODIs.

Still find it mad that Cox has played 4 domestic 50 over games, without a 50 and plays

And Bethell goes to NZ as a test bat without a first class ton

And Overton as a specialist bat

And 9 bowlers

This is actually pathetic
So we are chasing 329 and Cox scores 4 off 19. And gets bounced out.

Maybe pick someone who has a one day record?

I sort of feel sorry for some of the younger players like Cox, Bethell, etc. They have some talent but they are being asked to go straight into international cricket and play a role they have zero experience at.
Cox today is the perfect example, it was clear he was struggling with how to start his innings which shouldn't come as a surprise since he's only played 4 list-A games and not one was batting at 3. It's setting the younger lads up to fail.

Yeah definitely. Looks like Bethell going the same way.

All on Key this absolutely twatful from him. If McCullum has had any input over it he can fuck off too.

It’s irrational, but I’m starting to dislike them because they have no right to be there. Hain and others must be foaming

(I know it’s not their fault)
Why is it that Cox has played so little list a stuff? He’s played a decent amount of first class cricket

Cox is ridiculously good at golf though. Clearly more important than being able to keep in red ball and play 50 over cricket. Before being selected for both jobs for England.

The fact McCullum brought that up when no doubt they must be aware of the golf clique criticism. Was jarring as fuck.

It's no real slight on the players themselves. Falls down on the selectors which AFAIK is Key,McCullum and Wright.

Assume he gets a 16.4 gig so won't be available for the one day cup.

Forget the Hundred, the current international selection policy will be the nail in the coffin of FC cricket in England.

What is the point on dedicating the hard yards working on red ball technique and scoring heavy runs in the pro game when seemingly all you need is a mullet and a reference from a public school coach?

West Indies have only bowled 6 bowlers. The cowards
