West Indies Tour 2022

Agree on Anderson and I get where you’re coming from with Broad & the tone of this piece. I know loads that can’t stand him and if he wasn’t our all time second best seamer, he’d probably get more stick than he does. I’d have rathered if he was gonna do a piece like this he hadn’t held back and told us exactly what’s going on, rather than skirt round the edges, or not said anything at all.

Definitely Root and Stokes decision, actually think Stokes might have had quite a lot to do with it. Based on not much more than a hunch admittedly.

More I think about it the more I think Broad is just a no brainer as captain, even if only for 18 months or so until someone else hopefully emerges.

Cummins has shown it’s possible.

Yeah I love broad btw and love his attitude

We need more like that

I just think do you want a Public outburst every time you get dropped? He did the other year too

Mark wood was unbelievable in South Africa then gets dropped in England. Didn’t see him kicking off.

Just think there’s a balance that’s all

Strauss saying it was his decision and Root wanted to pick Broad and Anderson. Sounds like a load of bollocks to me, there was obviously tension when Root slagged off the bowlers off for bowling too short in Adelaide, then Broad rose to it and criticised the batting.
What a load of rubbish...no chance Strauss backs Root as captain then refuses to pick the two bowlers Root has 'asked for'.

Root was a f***ing idiot with that comment, too.

Question for the people that were over there for t20s, could you get tickets easily while over there? Going over for test and not sure whether to buy now or risk it over there for cheaper. Also is the party stand worth it?

Not sure about how easy it is to get tickets out there but we’ve bought a 4 day pass from The Barmy Army which only worked out at £95 each. We looked into the Party Stand and it didn’t seem worth it to us. Also think you have to have a PCR test to get in so if you’ve been in Barbados a few days already it’s probably a bit of a hassle and added cost.

Cannot wait to get out there. Been a long time since I’ve done a week on the drink with the lads so hope I survive!

No idea but there was a bloke outside the queues asking for any spares so guessing it was sold out

I went to the first two and it looked pretty much sold out mate

I wouldn’t risk it for Barbados when full price is £30 a day mate. Yes, locals get them half price but I think looking for those deals is more one for the Antigua and Grenada tests.

Quite a few got left outside in Cape Town Jan ‘20 thinking it would be alright on the night.
